About the Designer

Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.

Elena is the CEO/Sole Designer of Elena Siri Custom Creations
Elena Siri is, no doubt, an extremely phenomenal woman!!! Designer, personal wardrobe shopper and stylist, poet, model, mentor, licensed manicurist, composer, song writer and mother of three all melt together to form this multi-talented woman.

Elena's interests in fashion and poetry both began when she was just six years of age. It came as no surprise that her six sisters and six brothers would often come to her for fashion advice; seeking something different but trendy to add to their outfits.

What will catch you by surprise is that it was at the feet of her father that she learned how to crochet! Despite her obvious knack for coordinating fashions, the demands of early motherhood consumed her time and attention.

"There was no time to get all cute and girly with three children, a job, and a home to tend to," she recalls, "it became convenient to throw my hair in a bun, slip on my baggy jeans and Timberlands, and tackle the many tasks of the day." Eventually, her children grew older; becoming more independent and less demanding of her time and attention. This would afford her the opportunity to get back to herself, her hopes, her dreams, and her passions to write and design!

As she became more social and outgoing, Elena knew her Timberlands and baggy jeans weren't true representations of her style and charisma. She reflected on what her father taught her and combined it with her passion for fashion, creativity, experimentation, and her desire to be different and produced her very first sweater in 2004! Much to her surprise many people approached her to inquire, not only of the designer but how they could obtain a crochet garment of their very own. Not only had her crochet garments caught the public eye but they were in public demand!

Without a pattern or a sketch it is amazing (even to herself) how she produces what she envisions with absolute perfection!  Elena Siri specializes in custom made garments for women, men, and children of all shapes and sizes; be it the particularly petite, pleasantly plump, or big and tall. Her styles range from casual to formal, sophisticated or sexy, retro or alluring, conservative or risky!

Her designs have been featured in numerous fashion shows including "Baltimores Fashion Week 2008 and 2011". Articles have appeared in "Name It!" Magazine, "The Razors Edge", "The Baltimore Sun Paper", "The Afro American Newspaper", and "$howca$e Magazine". She has been a guest on WOLB with Stephanie Popular and Doni Glover, and has also been featured on "I See Color Live TV" with Jermaine Johnson. She has spearheaded food drives, clothes drives, and fashion shows as fundraisers for the needy, the homeless, women of domestic violence, and the fight against Cancer.

Elena has had the incredible opportunity to work alongside Baltimore's fashion guru Travis Winkey and is also the official crochet designer for Mrs. Maryland 2006 and 2007 - Mrs. Adrienne Watson Carver - who wore Elena's designs in the Mrs. Maryland and the Mrs. America Pageant for 2006 and 2007.

In the Summer of 2010, Elena added custom crocheted, wood, and beaded jewelry to her fabulous collection!

Elena decided to re-dedicate her life to Christ and was baptized on Resurrection Sunday 2011! On May 12, 2011, Elena was inducted into the Women Of Power Sisterhood where she was recognized for her commitment to the betterment of communities in Baltimore and throughout Maryland. On June 4, 2011, she hosted her first annual cancer benefit in memory of her father "A Pause for the Cause".
